If you're unable to download Tor Browser from the official Tor Project website, you can instead try downloading it from one of our official mirrors, either through EFF, Calyx Institute or CCC. We don't recommend using a VPN with Tor unless you're an advanced user who knows how to configure both in a way that doesn't compromise your privacy. I was recommended to use a VPN as well but saw that Tor does not recommend it. However, because we have not audited the app in Chrome OS, we don't know if all the privacy features of Tor Browser for Android will work well.Ģ.
But by using Tor Mobile on Chrome OS, you will view the mobile (not desktop) versions of websites. Unfortunately, we don't yet have a version of Tor Browser for Chrome OS though you could run Tor Browser for Android on Chrome OS.
Is there any option for me who was just given a chrome laptop to utilize tor?
